Since its inauguration in 1997, the Conference Centre of the Canary Islands has become a place of economic, social and cultural promotion and exchange. Its spacious and multipurpose rooms have contributed to a great extent to it.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the most cosmopolitan city of the Canary Islands and is also known for having the most active economy and cultural life of the Canaries. The beachfront Conference Centre is placed in the city centre, beside Las Canteras beach. Its location, with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, is composed by the merging of urban and marine components.

The offer of services and facilities of the Conference Centre is wide and the surrounding area has a number of hotels as well as shopping centres and restaurants.

The theater Teatro Pérez Galdós, inaugurated in 1890 and totally restored in 2005, converged with the Conference Centre of the Canary Islands in 2013. As a result of this convergence, 30 rooms and halls with a 6,079 people capacity are available. It is a large offer of these two buildings of great architectural beauty: the Conference Centre of the Canary Islands built in the avant-garde style and the classical and historic theatre Teatro Pérez Galdós. Both buildings are placed in emblematic areas of the city: Las Canteras beach and Vegueta-Triana old quarter, respectively.

The Conference Centre of the Canary Islands of Auditorio Alfredo Kraus is managed by a non-profit private Foundation and is the only centre on the Canaries which holds both the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard certification and the “Q” for Tourist Quality.

These awards are a distinction of quality, professionalism and a continual improvement process of services and facilities. This success is the result of the work of professional, qualified  and highly motivated personnel with wide experience in project management which they apply to any kind of events
